DeGods and Y00ts by Dust Labs are moving away from Solana. These two NFT projects are the best-selling collections minted on Magic Eden but now they’re shifting to the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains.
Solana is considered to be the third-best blockchain after Ethereum when it comes to NFTs but now Polygon seems to be snatching that title as many collections shift towards. The zero gas fee and scalability have attracted many creators to mint their works on it.
DeGods made the official announcement on Twitter.
“Degods will officially bridge to Ethereum in Q1 of 2023. The bridge is not the destination. It is on the path to get there,” the statement read.
Similarly, y00ts will shift to Polygon by next year and will also reveal the official roadmap in January 2023. Launched in September 2022, the no. 1 selling collection wants to bridge to the new network.
In the recent report by CoinDesk, DeGods demanded $5 million from Solana Foundation to stay, as claimed by a representative, but the founder denied such allegations.
Solana, which felt the shock waves of the FTX collapse since SBF had invested millions of dollars in the chain, dropped from its initial price of $60 to below $20 in November, and its NFT marketplace also has ongoing issues related to protocol control.
