Before transitioning to investment banking, Katherine Tarbox worked as a journalist in the beginning. Her most recent position was as an investment banker at SVB Securities, which was acquired in a management buyout when Silicon Valley Bank failed.
The organization intends to fund smaller pre-seed and seed investment deals for businesses that specialize in technology that supports AI-enabled sectors as well as businesses that assist certain industries, like games or agriculture.
Adi Ignatius, editor-in-chief of the Harvard Business Review, Bethany McLean, co-author of “The Smartest Guys in the Room” and host of a podcast, Antoine Grant, an investor and former employee of McKinsey, and Roy de Souza, a tech entrepreneur, will all act as advisers and members of the company’s board.
