The king of festivals, Insomniac held a weekend-long Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2022 with exciting lineups and collabs with various EDM artists held IRL and online from May 20-22, 2022. Insomniac introduced a new experience to music fans by showcasing its first-ever NFT Art Gallery curated by WAYF featuring collections from music and digital artists.
The pandemic is over, and so is the wait for exciting musical festivals. This year Insomniac is bringing something new to the table. The organizers announced they will be dropping an EDC-inspired NFT collection at the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas Art Gallery curated by WAYF. The festival celebrated music from May 20 to May 22 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Orlando.
The NFT art-gallery special brings together NFT and EDM fans together to celebrate music as a universal space that is ready to welcome blockchain technology to mainstream music.
The NFT gallery features art from famous EDM artists and the NFT community such as a Genesis NFT collection from Tijs Michiel Verwest, a famous electronic-dance music artist, also known as DJ Tiësto.
The EDC Las Vegas 2022 NFT gallery opened on May 21, 2022, featuring the rarest and most expensive NFTs from famous digital artists and NFT collections.
DJ Tiësto drops ALL ACCESS EAGLE
Like many mainstream artists, DJ Tiësto is ready to drop yet another of his very own designed NFT project called “Eagle.” This is a special collection that will feature the artist’s message of Musical Freedom and a digital roadmap about future plans for fans.
Before the Genesis collection, the artist dropped an ALL ACCESS EAGLE NFT on the LGND website. Before the announcement, DJ Tiësto had already teased about his soon-to-be launched genesis collection by displaying an eagle NFT at a performance back in March.
EDC Las Vegas NFT holders will receive priority VIP access to DJ Tiësto’s EAGLE genesis collection, a preview of his upcoming music from the Musical Freedom label called Repeat It, and other exciting opportunities.
Enjoy an exclusive performance this Saturday at the EDC festival and see the eagle again during his performance.
WAYF-curated Gallery showcases well-known NFTs
The EDC NFT gallery was a perfect event to showcase well-recognized and best-selling NFTs. The idea behind choosing NFTs was to unite a diverse community for a social cause.
The head of creative at LGND, Ty Carter said, “Music and art are the great communicators that connect us all.”
The NFTs from the art gallery went on sale at a fixed price for a limited time on the LGND marketplace. The non-fungible tokens will remain open for buying for 7 seven days to ensure people don’t miss out on the golden opportunity of purchasing rare NFTs.
According to LGND, some NFTs will give charity from a percentage of their earnings to various non-profit organizations such as Rise Above The Disorder, Surfrider Foundation, Stop Asian Hate, Murphslife Foundation, and Best Friends Animal Society.
As attendees enjoyed the musical performances, they also experienced some of the greatest digital art from the famous NFT collections including Nyan Heroes, Azuki, Sol Flowers, Moonbirds, Dippies, The Catalina Whale Mixer, and many more.
“The NFT medium continues to evolve into new forms using new technology, transforming the way we interact between the analog and the virtual. LGND is proud to power this immersive gallery curated by WAYF and work with this historic group of artists.” Carter said.
Zash Global Media, the official sponsor for EDC 2022, also dropped surprise NFTs at the EDC NFT gallery. The NFTs were dropped from space through a satellite to the EDC attendees at random. The media group also announced a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT giveaway worth $300,000 to one lucky winner. Moreover, two NFT drops also happened in partnership with a guest performance and a top headliner to the audience during their respective sets.
Fans can purchase NFTs on the LGND until May 27, 2022, at 9 pm UTC.
