LG Electronics to debut exclusive Monster Shoes built on NFT technology at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to be held on January 5-8, 2023 in Las Vegas. The attendees will be able to mint 5,500 uniquely designed digital shoes using the LG ThingQ app.
The NFT shoes are designed in collaboration with young students of Induk University Game & VR Design Department. South Korea is among the leading countries when it comes to Web3 adoption. The universities are actively educating students about blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens.
The unique artwork paired with immersive virtual reality, these NFTs hold special meaning to the world’s largest Home Appliance company because it not only represents its innovative progress but also its upcoming showcase devices, Styler ShoeCase and Styler ShoeCar.
The Monster shoes are a burst of exquisite colors and creative designs that showcase LG’s future prospects regarding NFT technology.
LG Electronics previously dropped an NFT platform called LG Art Lab on its Smart TV, enabling users to buy, sell, and trade collectibles. The marketplace is only available in the US for LG TVs with webOS 5.0 or later updates.
