The popular English animated cartoon series, Mr. Bean is ready to enter the world of metaverse with its first-ever NFT collection. On May 11, 2022, the official Mr. Bean’s Twitter account dropped an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming collaboration project with the famous content producer Banijay and FOMO Lab, a popular platform that leads brands to the NFT and Metaverse space.
Everyone’s favorite childhood personality, Mr. Bean is a bachelor who finds unconventional ways to complete everyday tasks and often gets in trouble with his landlady, Mrs. Wicket. Although the series is quite old, it was revived back in 2015 and ended its last episode in 2019. Since then, the cartoon series hasn’t been much active until now when it dropped the NFT teasers.
Mr. Bean whom once we saw on our TV screens will now be seen in the virtual world of Web3. Following the popularity of NFTs and the Web3 revolution, Mr. Bean will bring something new and innovative to the industry by releasing exclusive NFTs never seen before.
What can you expect from Mr. Bean NFT collection?
According to the press release, Mr. Bean will release a collection of 3,333 NFTs, most featuring the main character in various scenes. The NFT collection will be launched on the Ethereum blockchain on 25 May 2022. The digital assets will be listed on FOMO Lab’s NFT marketplace called The Avenue.
The NFTs will also include side characters from the cartoon series such as Mrs. Wicket, Scrapper the cat, and of course, his beloved Teddy. In the sneak peek released, Mr. Bean showed a few pictures of the NFT collection that created a buzz around the NFT community and Mr. Bean fans of what more the collection will hold.
Since it’s a collaboration with FOMO Lab, Mr. Bean also revealed NFT holders will receive exclusive access to the communities, rewards, competitions, and official merchandise. Furthermore, the holders will also receive Mr. Bean’s unpublished hand-crafted sketch signed by Rowan Atkinson himself from the first animated series. 20x and 100x holders will receive a physical print of their NFTs. The Avenue has revealed a proper roadmap for the following the launch of the collection.
In response to the upcoming NFT collection, the creator and actor behind Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson says, “I think that this is a great idea. Any initiative which not only draws attention to but actually enables access to the fabulous artwork associated with the Mr. Bean Animation series, I welcome with open arms.”
