Seagate Technology recently announced it will be releasing three special editions of the external hard drive series of Spider-Man officially licensed by Marvel. According to the official press release, Marvel fans can now buy Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy), and Miles Morales HDDs to access stored data on them.
This project is part of Marvel’s special edition storage devices, giving fans an opportunity to physically own a hard drive of their favorite Marvel show.
Spider-Man is one of the most popular Marvel superheroes around the world. Ever since its first appearance in a comic book and then the movie, it has gained millions of fans.
Marvel has been constantly promoting Spider-Man by selling exclusive merchandise, stationeries, and other collectibles. Being part of the Walt Disney Company, it also released the Disney NFT collection of Marvel heroes for fans to own Spider-Man’s one-of-a-kind comic books or artwork in a blockchain.
Now, Marvel has partnered with Seagate technology to release the physical hard drives of Spider-Man.
One-of-a-Kind Spider-Man HDDs
As mentioned above, Seagate Technology will be releasing three types of hard drives of Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider (Gwen Stacy), and Miles Morales for fans to buy. Each hard drive is built with the latest storage technology featuring one-of-a-kind artwork and RGB LED lighting.
Each collectible has a 2TB capacity with FireCuda external HDDs that have Windows PCs, Macs, PlayStation, and Xbox compatibility. It also features a bus-powered USB 3.2 Gen1 connection in a very lightweight so that it is easier to carry around.
The digital artwork and features on the external HDDs aren’t just storage devices but also can be part of displays or Spider-Man-themed setups at home.
Since these hard drives are manufactured by Seagate technology, the company will provide a one-year limited warranty and a one-year Rescue Data Recovery Services. To help users monitor the performance of the hard drive, Seagate’s DiscWizard™ and SeaTools™ are also included in each HDD.
When is it coming out?
Thankfully, fans don’t have to wait too long for the Spider-Man external HDDs release. Seagate Technology announced that all three drives will be available for purchase this September for $109.99. The exact date of release will be released soon.
