The global launch of the third-party crypto bot Wallet is starting in a few countries in Latin America and Africa on Telegram Messenger.
Cryptocurrency trading bot Wallet is starting its global rollout on Telegram Messenger in a number of Latin American and African countries.
The Open Company (TOP), a trading company based in Dubai that works with TOP Labs and Wallet, stated on Nov. 10 that the Wallet crypto bot would be available all over the world.
Wallet is now in the Telegram settings page for people in Kenya, South Africa, Colombia, and a few other African and Latin American countries. Wallet is a Telegram service from a third party that lets people buy and sell cryptocurrency.
People from all over the world have been able to use Wallet for a while now, but to find the bot, they had to click “@Wallet” on Telegram. Users no longer need to find the bot or know a lot about crypto to start using Wallet. It’s now right in the settings menu.
Safe wallet and TON Space can both be used by people. TON Space is the part of the wallet where users can put their own cryptocurrency. The self-custody part of Wallet in TON Space lets users send and swap nonfungible tokens (NFTs) on their own.
TOP has decided to start rolling out Wallet around the world in growing markets. This way, users will have access to more financial tools, and TOP will be able to take advantage of the large number of users in those areas.
TOP told NftStudio24 that their main goal is to serve growing markets that don’t have many quick and easy banking options. This is why people want crypto assets. The person said, “We know that Telegram has a lot of users in these areas, so it made sense to start our global rollout in these places.”
The World Population Review says that 4.49 million people in Colombia use Telegram as of 2023. A study by Statista found that in Kenya and South Africa, around half of all internet users in the third quarter of 2022 used Telegram.
TOP staffer stated, “Countries like Nigeria, Kenya, and Colombia have a very active Telegram user base with a fairly high rate of crypto adoption.
This person also said that TOP wanted to try the wallet in smaller countries first, both to see how it works and how well it works with other systems. Someone said, “This will make sure that we can efficiently scale to the additional demand that will be created as the rollout continues.”
Latin America and Africa will be the first places to get the Wallet crypto bot. It will begin in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Turkey in the first three months of 2024. TOP says they will finish putting Wallet on Telegram all over the world by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
“These strategic improvements to Wallet and TON Space show that we are still committed to making crypto easier for regular people to use while keeping strong security features,” CEO Andrew Rogozov said.
The fact that Telegram denied having any link with Wallet or TOP may make people wonder what their relationship is with each other. But the fact that Wallet was added to Telegram’s settings page shows that the two apps work together or are integrated in some way. Even so, Wallet’s comment making it clear that it is not connected to Telegram stresses even more how separate their operations are.
Rogozov’s work with both VK.com and the TON Foundation shows how experienced he is in the tech field. His choice to work with Wallet and change his name to TOP shows that he wants to see innovation and growth in the digital world.
