Ubisoft, the developer of the Assassin’s Creed video game, is creating an original tactical RPG for the PC that will be based on the Oasys blockchain. This is the first Web3 game by Ubisoft that’s going to revolutionize the traditional gaming world.
Champions Tactics will be the first game developed by Ubisoft using the Oasys blockchain platform, which has caught the attention of other industry titans including Square Enix, Sega, and Bandai Namco. Sega’s Japanese Sangokushi Taisen historical card game IP is the basis for an Oasys game being developed by DoubleJump.Tokyo, who made the announcement last autumn.
Despite opposition from gamers, Ubisoft, the developer of Assassin’s Creed and Just Dance, was one of the first large traditional game companies to experiment with blockchain technology years ago. The firm has now made its upcoming Web3 game public.
The Ubisoft game; Champions Tactics is a player versus player tactical game in which players engage in combat using legendary champions, according to Ubisoft.
The teaser trailer for the game was released on Wednesday, but it didn’t show much of the gameplay. However, as they investigate the fantastical legends of the utopian world known as Grimoria, gamers ballet one another.
In other news, Ubisoft has kept up its alliance-building and development efforts in the Web3 space, notably launching its Rabbids characters in The Sandbox, an Ethereum metaverse game.
