ARTIFACTS by SCMP to debut HK25 Moments NFT collection on The Sandbox Metaverse

ARTIFACTS by SCMP in a partnership with LuLuLand World is debuting HK25 Moments NFT collections featuring a piece of Hong Kong history preserved in the blockchain to mark its 25th anniversary on The Sandbox Game metaverse.

HK25 Moments NFT collection features 100 photos captured by SCMP in its 118 years of archives. The photos are some of the precious moments that defined the history of Hong Kong in 25 years.

The NFT collection is divided into 5 themes namely: – Honeymoon years (1997-2002) – Surviving SARS (2002-2007) – Calm before the storm (2007-2012) – Darkening skies (2012-2017) – Rupture and reset (2017 - 2022)

By buying HK25 Moments NFT, The Sandbox users and HK25 holders will get a one-of-a-kind metaverse experience paired with the history of SCMP’s journalism.

Based on the sneak peek released, The Sandbox’s new update Season 3 Alpha will feature a separate museum or display-like place in the metaverse where Artifacts by SCMP’s digital collectibles will be displayed including the upcoming HK25 Moments in August 2022.

The primary sale will only allow whitelist members to purchase the NFTs from artifact.scmp.com via mystery box format, meaning you won’t know what piece of history to own until the transaction is complete.
