Bill Murray, the American actor, writer, and comedian, debuted his first NFT collection “Bill Murray 1000” featuring his career and personal life on Coinbase NFT.
The actor worked in partnership with theCHIVE and Project Venkman to release his first ever NFT collection with 1,000 NFT collectibles based on 100 stories from Murray’s career including a special acrylic-on-canvas portrait of Bill painted by David Grizzle.
“They also worked closely with author John Resig to add context to the stories we all know and love, while also contributing dozens of stories few have ever heard. Each of the 100 story NFTs features a unique design inspired by the story, and each original story/design combination is available in nine additional colorways,” says Coinbase.
Each NFT was personally approved by Bill’s son, Jackson Murray, to ensure it resonates well with the American actor and his fans.
The NFT collectors will receive access to attend special events with Bill Murray, exclusive merchandise, rare engraved silver coins, and an invitation to join a private Discord community called The Shack.
Coinbase NFT released 81 NFTs for the first batch and all of them got sold out within minutes. More NFT drops will also be released soon, one coming this week.
A large portion of earnings from the Bill Murray 1000 NFT collection will be donated to multiple charitable components and the original portrait of Bill Murray will be auctioned and the proceeds will go to Chive Charities.
