Binance hires Brazil's former Economy Minister as an adviser

Binance, a famous crypto exchange, recently hired the former Brazilian economy minister and former Central Bank president, Henrique Meirelles as a member of its global advisory board.

The news reported by O Global, a Brazilian newspaper, states that Binance will be soon announcing the future initiatives in an official press release soon and no more details have been given as of now.

Meirelles has a long history in Brazilian politics and he’s also an economist who served at the ministry office from 2016 to 2018. Before that, he was president of the Central Bank from 2003 to 2010.

Binance has been developing its platform and ecosystem over the past years. With Meirelles on the advisory, the exchange will be able to make better financial decisions in the interest of its users.

Binance is also expanding its business to different countries. In fact, it is fully operating as an exchange in many regions after getting approval from the authorities.

Having a background experience in banking and economics, Meirelles will help Binance with the regulatory laws to ensure it remains an authentic exchange for a long time.

Meirelles served as an economic minister when Lula da Silva was the president of Brazil. Many people believe he might serve again if Silva becomes the president again.

Binance is currently working on various projects to promote cryptocurrency and blockchain technology through its platform.

Binance’s native coin BNB coin trades at $281 with a 2.01% gain in 24 hours. It has a $45B market cap and $850M 24h trading volume.
