earns regulatory approval from Italy

Crypto.com released an official announcement on getting registration and regulatory approval from the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM) in Italy. According to the official press release, Crypto.com will provide products and digital wallet services related to virtual currency to Italian consumers.

“We are excited to receive this registration in Italy and view it as a major step forward for Crypto.com,” said Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder, and CEO of Crypto.com. “We are committed to building lasting growth in the region and will continue working with regulators to deliver a wide range of products and services to our valued customers.”

Crypto.com has been making efforts to expand its business on an international scale.

Previously, Crypto.com received approval in Greece from the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, and also a Virtual Asset License from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.

As the crypto industry continues to grow, Crypto.com will also expand based on the market demand to compete against its competitors. Italy has a fairly large crypto community as more and more people show interest in digital currencies, NFTs, and blockchain technology.

Other than crypto.com, Coinbase has also received a regulatory nod from Italy, showing that the country is more than ready to enter the Web3 space.

All the approved crypto companies are required to follow the local regulations and pay taxes on time.
