Muse, a famous English rock band, announces its ninth studio album “Will of the People” will be released as NFT on Serenade, a Polygon-based NFT platform on August 26, 2022. This is the first NFT album with charting eligibility in the UK and Australia.
Muse was formed in 1994 with members Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme, and Dominic Howard as a rock band. It debuted its first album in 1999, and is now releasing its ninth studio album but in a new format.
Music NFTs are slowly becoming a popular digital asset in the entertainment world. However, Muse’s album is different; it is a chart-eligible album called Digital Pressing format, meaning people from all over the world will be able to listen to this album but only a few can own the album as NFTs.
The Muse NFT album features 1,000 editions, with each piece for £20 sold on Serenade, an eco-friendly NFT platform.
Fans who buy the Digital Pressing version of the album will be able to download the high-quality FLAC audio of the album.
Additionally, each buyer’s name will be permanently added to the linked buyer list. They will also receive digital signatures and different sleeves from the band members.
Serenade aims to connect musical artists and fans through its platform. Following the Muse NFT album drop, the platform plans to collaborate with more artists with the Digital Pressing format to release albums, singles, and EPs in the near future.
