Samsung, The South Korean Electronic Company, recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with six companies to build a Galaxy NFT ecosystem, as reported by News1. Samsung Electronics has also announced it will give benefits to New Galaxy NFT holders.
The MOU signed companies include, Alllink, Digital Plaza, e-cruise, Shilla Duty Free, Show Golf, E-cruise, and Theta Labs.
Samsung has already partnered with Theta Labs for the launch of the New Galaxy NFT back in February. The NFT was designed in the “shape of a smartphone and tablet design.”
People who ordered the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series from Samsung’s partners within South Korea received free NFT as an exclusive gift.
Samsung also plans to gift people the New Galaxy NFT who bought Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 launched on August 10, 2022. The holders will receive exclusive discounts and offers at the outlets within South Korea.
Now, the electronics maker seems to be expanding its reach in Web3 by building a Galaxy NFT ecosystem.
“Samsung Electronics will continue to innovate the customer experience that connects the virtual world and the real world using NFT with various partners,” a representative from Samsung said.
For many years, Samsung has continued to remain a relevant and competing rival against Apple. The company has been quite diligent with innovative technologies and features, and now it will introduce new projects related to NFT and Web3 as well.
As of now, no details about the Galaxy NFT ecosystem have been shared by Samsung.
