the digital artist behind the World of Women, says the lack of women's representation in PFP projects motivated her to design her own NFT collection that celebrates inclusivity.

World of Women is among the top-selling NFT collections on Ethereum that gained popularity in 2021. In a recent interview with New Yorker, Karkai shared her personal inspiration for WoW.

The artist said she wanted to create a collection that represents everyone irrespective of their culture or ethnicity, WoW was designed with this idea of diversity and with no cultural appropriation.

Having a small degree, Karkai taught herself to use Adobe and later designed labels as a freelancer. She was deeply inspired by the works of Danish interior designer Verner Panton.

Her idea of bringing power to women inspired many developers and creators to come out and represent their identity in Web3 space, which is still dominated by the male population.

Karkai is the 21st century's greatest digital artist and her story shows that anyone can achieve if they have the passion to follow their dreams even if they aren’t professionally qualified.
