Galaxy project by World of Women is a sci-fi concept story about an Assembly of Women on a mission to decode cryptic messages. There are 7 members of the Assembly of Women: Mato (warrior), Evy (tech-savvy), Callisto (linguist), Aleea (adventurer), Kimi (artist), Hina (sorceress), and Palesa (biologist). Together they work as a team to read and interpret hidden transmissions in the galaxy.
The Ethereum NFT collection WoW recently rose in popularity among various celebrities and influencers for their attractive artwork. Their worth surged drastically since last year, and this year too, the community proved its value in the market.
The artist behind World of Women Galaxy is Yam Karkai, who is also the co-founder of the community. With #WoWGalaxy, the NFT community announced their second Galaxy collection completely sold out.
World of Women launched a total of 22,222 NFT profiles on the 27th of March, Saturday, and the world was ready to buy it all out.
2,222 NFTs from the project were sold to communities and individuals who contributed to promoting the NFT market, the remaining 10,000 were sold on Saturday in the market using the Dutch auction format. The starting price was 3 ETH, 9,300 dollars in traditional currency.
$79M in a day!
The Galaxy team shared that they generated about $79M in 24 hours. The initial primary market sales were recorded to be $34 million and rose to $45 million in the secondary market.
Later the sales increased to $60 million in the secondary market, topping all other NFT profile picture collections in a day. Based on the current data, Azuki sold 49.5M, the Bored Ape Yacht Club sold $45M, and the Mutant Ape Yacht Club sold $42.3M.
Future NFT Galaxy projects
Prior to the NFT Galaxy collection release, World of Women also announced that exclusive films and TV shows are in the development process in collaboration with Hello Sunshine studios to showcase the NFT project.
Another future NFT Galaxy project: Jazwares plans to launch the originally produced toy collection of this NFT project and has already obtained the license to do so.
World of Women will give royalties of this NFT project to their recently launched WoW Foundation to support women communities in the metaverse.
