ETHGlobal Tokyo kickstarted the Pragma Summit in Japan for the first time as part of its hackathon on April 13, 2023. The event aimed to gather developers, builders, creators, and leaders to unite on the Ethereum blockchain.
NFTStudio24 had the honor to attend this jam-packed vibrant summit as a Media Representative. The team was awed by the amount of excitement and creativity in the air as people eagerly explored the new innovations on Ethereum.
ETHGlobal Tokyo Pragma Summit
The application-only Pragma Summit was the first-ever in-person event, which will last until Sunday, April 16, 2023.
The series of interviews and sessions began with Mina Protocol, followed by Celo, Polygon, Metamask, Taiko, Ethereum Foundation, 1inch Network, Airstack, and many more.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to attend various workshops. The presentations and networking sessions provided insights into the latest developments in the industry.
Emily, a developer evangelist at Linea shared her experience on ETHGlobal:
“It’s been overwhelming.” She also encouraged developers to try out Linea ZK-roll up, a layer-2 protocol for scaling Ethereum.
One of the main highlights of the summit was the various presentations on building decentralized applications (DApps) on Ethereum. These sessions provided aspiring developers with the knowledge and skills required to create innovative DApps. This can eventually drive the adoption of blockchain technology in various industries.
The summit was an opportunity to connect with other Web3 developers and industry experts and learn from their experiences. NFTStudio24 met many amazing personalities in the space. The team also got to explore different protocols and applications contributing to the success of Ethereum’s ecosystem.
Among them, NFTStudio24 met Taiko, a Type A (Ethereum-equivalent) ZK-EVM. The platform recently launched Fusion Mode to facilitate developers in building applications on its protocol. Co-founder Brecht Devos in an interview with the team shared:
“The hackathon is exciting. There’s a lot of interest in layer 2 solutions and Zero-Knowledge applications. I see a lot of difference from what it was like a couple of years ago.”
