6 June 2023, Tuesday – Cryptogram Venture (CGV FoF) is holding a series of 2nd Web3 Summer Hackathons around Asia to encourage developers and builders. The Japan investor giant is set to continue its events in Kyoto this month with a massive physical Rally.

What is Web3 Summer Hackathon?
The Web3 Hackathon is supported by experts from institutions such as Keio University, MetaFocus, TEAMZ, CoinW Labs, and others.
CGV has already held the first Hackathon Rally and Demo day in Tokyo on May 17 in partnership with TEAMZ Web3 Summit 2023 and a private event at Sakura Banquet. The event was attended by over 10 projects from Mainland China, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and other regions. The companies include Guild QB, Slash, KEKKAI, D3D, Coresky, Star, RentaFi, UneMeta, Meta Avatar Show, and Vess.
The event was attended by various well-known figures from Japan including, the former Japanese Cabinet Secretary and current Ministry of Digital Society Promotion Minister Hiroshi Hirano, Tim Draper, Astar Network Founder Satoshi Watanabe, BitFlyer CEO Yuzo Kano, and many more.
The hackathon is a good opportunity for Web3 startups to demonstrate their projects to the Japanese market and gain potential investors. CGV highlights that this series of hackathons focuses on project sustainability and development capabilities, rather than just immediate outcomes. As a result, the competition is anticipated to span a duration of six months from May to September.
By building and nurturing the Web3 ecosystem, the goal is to globally identify and assist exceptional talent in the Web3 field, allowing the potential to explore the vast development opportunities within Web3.
The 2nd Web3 Summer Hackathon Rally in Kyoto
Cryptogram Venture is now gearing up for its highly anticipated second Hackathon Rally Meet-up event in Kyoto on June 28, 2023. It is set to draw a diverse crowd of builders, developers, experts, and innovative projects. NFTStudio24 will be present to give exclusive event coverage to this hackathon as a media partner.
The event in Kyoto is tentatively scheduled to be an after-party on the evening of June 28th. The guests include CoinW Labs, Unemeta, etc. Some guests from Singapore will also be joining the hackathon.
Following the exciting in-person event, the Hackathon will transition online, starting with engaging Twitter Spaces sessions scheduled for July. Subsequently, the highlight of the series will be a massive three-day Hackathon Rally conducted virtually in August.
To culminate the series on a high note, CGV will hold a grand Hackathon Rally Awards Ceremony in Singapore in September, celebrating the outstanding achievements and contributions of participants.
