Froyo Games, a multi-chain GameFi platform, announces a partnership with WeMade and iCandy Interactive. As a gaming platform offering various games and strong development plans backed by iCandy Interactive, WeMade made a strategic investment in Froyo Games to utilize blockchain-gaming development and metaverse technology.
Froyo Games was launched in January 2022 through a farming offer on Pancakeswap. As a leading GameFi platform for play-to-earn and digital assets with over 600 game developers, Froyo Games has partnered with various Web3 and game developers to become the largest blockchain gaming metaverse.
The company comprises a Web3 space and NFT marketplace with its own native token, FROYO that operates on the Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain networks giving maximum access to players and game developers around the world. The FROYO token is supported on various DEX including PancakeSwap, ApeSwap, CoinW, BTSE, and BKEX.
The main investors for Froyo Games are Animoca Brands, Spartan, GBV Capital, and now, iCandy Interactive and WeMade as well.
Froyo Games signs with iCandy Interactive
After the launch, Froyo Games announced iCandy Interactive as its principal strategic partner and many other companies also became part of the gaming platform.
iCandy is an Australian-listed firm that is one of the biggest independent gaming developers that has a long history of designing traditional and Web3 games in Southeast Asia and Australia. The firm recently acquired Lemon Sky Studio and Storms to further its expansion into the market.
Lemon Sky Studios is widely known for its contribution to triple-A game titles by providing game art and animation solutions. The award-winning game studio has worked with big games like Call of Duty, Diablo II, Final Fantasy, Marvel’s Spiderman, The Last of Us II, Mortal Kombat, and more. Storms is a Singapore-based gaming startup aiming to build an inclusive ecosystem supported by our customer-centric gamification solution and distribution partners.
According to the officials, Froyo Games and iCandy signed a seven-year agreement in March 2022 for mutual benefits through blockchain-gaming development and metaverse technology.
WeMade to expand through Froyo Games
WeMade, a South Korean gaming developer, decided to invest in Froyo Games in hopes to develop its own platform. WeMade is already a well-known gaming developer, widely famous for its MMORPG (Massively Multi-player Online Role-Playing Game) series called Legend of Mir, which has over a million global fans.
WeMade aims to establish long-term players by utilizing the PaE model and proving the best in-game economies so that users can interact with the well-made games for almost a decade.
The recent launch from WeMade is The Legend of Mir 4 which utilizes the play-to-earn model, being the first game to do so. As of now, the game serieshas recorded over 6.5 million monthly average players from more than 170 countries, which is a big achievement for an MMORPG. The Legend of Mir 4 operates on the Wemix network and offers a Wemix token, WEMIX, that players can use to buy, sell, and trade in-game items and characters.
The Wemix platform is open to all types of blockchain games, in-house or studio games. Players who play games connected to the Wemix platform can convert their earned rewards into a WEMIX token, which has a trading value and is available on over 20 crypto exchanges. As of now, the Wemix platform operates 11 games and plans on adding up to 100 games by the end of 2022.
The partnership with Froyo Games and iCandy is a long-term opportunity for the platform to grow in the blockchain-gaming industry by expanding its tokenomics. The developer aims to establish a strong market presence by working with the best firms in the blockchain-gaming industry.

Following the partnership, WeMade also plans to launch Wemix 3.0. Henry Chang, CEO of WeMade says, “We will launch our own mainnet, Wemix 3.0, with various DeFi protocols and the NFT platform Nile, which is based on the decentralized autonomous organization. ICandy and Froyo Games will be our strong partners, who will bring more value to Wemix 3.0.”
Froyo Games or WeMade is yet to reveal the total investment amount.
