MATRIARCHY NOW, a Rolling Stone project with Nadya Tolokonnikova from Pussy Riot and German Photographer Ellen von Unwerth, is a collection of 11 exclusive NFTs featuring unique photographs as a “reflection on art and sexuality” on January 11 at 3 pm ET.
The project highlights the importance of gender inclusivity in Web3 where men, women, and non-binary individuals are treated equally. Using the exploding colors of electric blue, blood red, hot pink, and black, these photograph NFTs of Nadya represent emerging technologies and trends.
The dazzling collectibles will be minted on Coinbase NFT, allowing supporters and Web3 enthusiasts to directly buy from the marketplace. The users can use cryptocurrency or even debit/credit cards to purchase photos.
Along with the Ethereum-based NFT collection, a 1/1 MATRIARCHY NOW cover featuring the Rolling Stone logo will be set for auction on the marketplace. People can set their bids with the highest bidder getting ownership of the unique photograph and physical print of the capture by von Unwerth.
According to the official statement, the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the cause of women’s reproductive rights through Nadya’s own UnicornDAO LegalAbortion.ETH via Endaoment.
