Animoca Brands, a Venture Capitalist Company, announces a partnership with Play Magnus Group to launch Anichess on Lmypo.io. The team shared that the game will utilize Lympo’s ecosystem to expand chess GameFi in the Web3 world.
Anichess Game: Chess GameFi
Anichess is a game built for chess fans who can utilize the play-to-earn model to earn money and pursue their favorite board game in the Web3 world.
The game is highly inspired by Chess and Anime with a sprinkle of Magic, full of More tactics. More action. More adventures. More CHESS
As of now, no details of the game have been launched except that the Play Magnus Group will be involved in the development of the game.
Play Magnus Group was founded by World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen in 2013, with the goal to promote chess through different games and experiences.
The platform now has over 60,000 users interested in learning, playing, competing, coaching, and watching different aspects of the chess game.
Animoca Brands and Lympo have partnered with Play Magnus Group to access over 30 chess grandmasters, including Magnus Carlsen, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, and many others, “to advise, monitor, and test Anichess as an immersive gaming experience for experienced and casual chess players, fans, and strategy game enthusiasts.”
In other words, Anichess will be the center for chess enthusiasts to meet, learn, and compete with their favorite players in the Chess world. Lympo and PMG will be designing immersive gameplay to indulge players’ interest and establish Anichess as a proper GameFi platform.
Additionally, since Anichess is a GameFi, it will utilize Lympo’s ecosystem and utility token, $SPORT for benefits and value proposition.
“The concept of Anichess will amplify the traditional chess experience with a new phenomenal strategic layer that will produce situations never seen before,” said Tadas Maurukas, CEO and co-founder of Lympo. “Well-established game designers, super chess grandmasters, esports stars, and casual gamers are working together to deliver an action-packed blockchain chess experience.”
Lympo is a subsidiary of Animoca Brands that is dedicated to building a perfect GameFi ecosystem and products. The products include NFT staking and NFT minting platforms. Lympo is also introducing play-to-earn basketball games, and now chess.
Lympo has its own utility token, $SPORT that users can utilize within the ecosystem and is also listed in decentralized exchanges. Additionally, it holds IP rights to over 50 world-leading athletes, including the chess player Magnus Carlsen and many more.
Chess is a very rare game with the lowest population of professional players. In Web3, there aren’t any blockchain-based chess games, or board games in general, because most people might be interested in the action and adventure game genre.
Animoca Brands is breaking the market by introducing Anichess which unites chess players, watchers, and enthusiasts on one platform to enjoy the board game and earn something out of it.
