Portuguese Crypto Exchange Obtained By Brazillian 2TM Group.
On Wednesday, the Brazilian 2TM crypto firm announced its legal acquiring of a controlling stake in Criptoloja. A Lisbon-based crypto exchange verified by the central bank of Portuguese.
the Brazilian 2tm group is also the controller of Mercado bitcoin, Latin America’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange, stepping to extend its footprints globally, along with a strategic acquiring in Portuguese.
Further, subject to confirmation by Banco de Portugal. The new agreement plans to support the 2TM group to start widening in Europe, with over the – counter- exchange services. Also, the company has to put forward the services of Mercado bitcoin to retail, and institutional investors located in Portugal.

In this context, the CEO of the 2TM group, Roberto Dagnoni said that:
“we will access the European market using the clear synergies with our presence in Latin America. as we share the same language, a recognized brand, and cross-sell opportunities for customers. there are many Brazilians living in Portugal who would love to invest through our platform,”
Moreover, CEO Dagnoni said that this deal turns into a reality because of some massive fundraising rounds arranged in 2021. as the 2tm firm successfully gained $250 million in funds from big investors, like SoftBank, a Japanese financial giant, leading its valuation up to $2 billion by November.
The CEO of 2TM, Dagnoni further stated that :
“Crypto is a worldwide business. Portugal is a strategic market for us. Because it requires a specific license, is becoming an important hub for crypto in Europe, and opens a gateway into the larger European market.”
As per the reports, the founders of the CriptoLoja, Luis Gomez, and Pedro Borges will continue serving as co-founders. While supporting the 2TMgroup to spread its name into Europe. Moreover, Borges said that:
“Cryptocurrencies are yet a rising subject in the country. All the digital assets like bitcoin and ether are bringing change and considerable demand.”
