Square Enix CEO Presented Plans About Latest Blockchain Technology:
After the surge in Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), Play-To-Earn may be on the way. As the world’s largest company Square Enix envisions them as the future of the industry.
On Saturday, Yosuke Matsuda, the CEO of the company Square Enix, presents his plans for blockchain, and NFTs in his New year Message letter. So, in his new year message, The CEO first started with the discussion about the Metaverse. Before highlighting facebook upgraded its name to meta, which is a piece of evidence, that the concept is not a passing trend.
Further, he anticipated 2022 as a Metaverse year, as people started accepting virtual worlds, and the ability to attach people together across geographical boundaries.
Yosuke Matsuda, Opinion About Latest Technology Future:
Moreover, his opinion is that expanded reality technology and the growing use of cloud computing and 5G will all lead to the Metaverse. Meanwhile, the discussion he wrote,
“As this abstract concept begins to take concrete shape in the form of product and service offerings, I am hoping that it will bring about changes that have a more substantial impact on our business as well”
After it, he similarly moves on about NFTS, Metaverse, and then blockchain technology. The CEO indicated that 2021 was the “one year” for NFTs, and Metaverse when too much wild trading occurred that did not always match with the market speculation.

The first step by square Enix was involved in the fundraising round of the sandbox. The sandbox is an etherum based virtual gaming world. Matsuda’s annual letter arrived in a form of confirmation about UbiSoft’s status, that it will stay strongly committed to its NFT, and blockchain technology. Additionally, another well-known name, Andrew Wilson, CEO of video game company Electronic Arts. Also speaks in favor that NFTs And Play-to-Earn games are the future of the gaming world. However, it is not specified how they will work.
