The Sandbox partners with Aventis Graduate School and Smobler Studios to launch metaverse education through various initiatives including Singapore’s first The Sandbox Academy and USD1M Scholarship Fund.

Recently, on September 20, 2022, Tripartite partners Aventis, Smobler Studios, and The Sandbox met up to discuss various initiatives related to metaverse education. During this occasion, The Sandbox announced two main initiatives to be taken this year for its vision of education.

The first initiative is the USD1M Scholarship Fund, which will be distributed among students from underprivileged communities in developing countries.
The scholarship will fund these deserving students to achieve success in their careers.

The second initiative is to build Singapore’s first The Sandbox Academy by 2023. Singapore is one of the leading countries when it comes to technological advancements.
The Sandbox wants to educate Singapore individuals about The Sandbox and how they can use this platform to monetize their creations.
The Sandbox Academy will include courses in game design and voxel art based on the open-source metaverse. The launch of this academy is expected to be in 2023 but no further details have been shared.
