Vincenzo Sospiri Racing, a multi-Championship winning GT racing team, recently announced the launch of the NFT-NFC certification program on their Lamborghini Squadra Corse car in collaboration with Go2NFT, an NFT marketplace. This is the first sports and racing car to have an NFT certification attached to the body parts.
The NFT industry is slowly growing in the traditional market. Various popular brands are experimenting with various possibilities within the NFT technology that could align well with their business model and products.
This time, a racing car is taking NFT technology to the next level. Lamborghini-based VSR sports team has paired up with an NFT marketplace to introduce a certification program for its racing car’s body parts. This means the auto parts will be scanned through an NFT NFC code attached to them for authentication and auditability.
The sports team will extend this technology to further authenticate official merch and other goods released in the coming months for fans.

VS Racing partners with the Go2NFT marketplace
VS Racing announced it will partner with the Go2NFT marketplace to launch the car parts certification as NFTs.
This certification program will contribute to making the racing car more valuable in the market and will also open new doors of possibilities for other sports teams while fans can experience the thrill of Lamborghini Squadra Corse by owning exclusive merchandise and other goods.
The NFT NFC is a pilot scheme that ensures “we can securely authenticate and audit every part of our racing fleet to monitor performance and ensure provenance,” says Vincenzo Sospiri from the VSR team.
Go2NFT is a newly emerging NFT marketplace focused on partnering with various global brands and corporate businesses to help them get into the NFT space. The marketplace is backed by Skey Network which made a $5 million investment to further develop the platform into a large marketplace.
Go2NFT mainly turns the “Internet of Things” into the “Blockchain of Things” opening doors to new possibilities. Recently, Go2NFT released blockchain/NFT solutions for a smart city such as enabling access to rescue services or building security.
The new NFT certification program combines blockchain and NFT technology together to establish authenticity for brands.
For the VSR car, the parts will be stored in a digital wallet and the quality can be tracked by the team from around the world. This will not only ensure the value of the parts remain authentic but also increase value because of the tracking system.
“What better way to launch our new platform than alongside one of the better racing teams supported by one of the most famous car brands in the world,” said Boris Ejsymont, chief business officer for Go2NFT.“We know that provenance, accountability, and quality control are key challenges for superbrands wanting to protect their IP and we believe that NFT utility can help create more trust and transparency for brands and their fans.”
Go2NFT is experimenting with various ways to introduce utility to fans. With this certification, Vincenzo Sospiri Racing will be able to authenticate its sports car parts anywhere around the world. The NFT will also ensure that the data stays for a long-time to ensure its parts remain valuable in the market.
Following the announcement, Sospiri said, “We are excited to pilot with Go2NFT and the renowned team at Skey Network to build NFT certification across our cars and other products to ensure we maintain the very highest standards of quality and control.”
Final words
VSR’s partnership with Go2NFT will benefit the sports team to showcase their brand’s authenticity around the world. This certification program will also open new doors for other sports car teams and international brands for their products and have the right to own the IP.
Furthermore, the NFT NFC technology also introduced a new possibility within the blockchain world and shows that the utility of NFTs is most likely to expand to new levels in the coming years.
